The worst experience with an auto repair in my life and Ive been driving for 50 years. Charged $855.55, but the original problem was never repaired.
On July 1, 2026, the day I was leaving for vacation, my vehicle began sputtering and running poorly. I brought it to Danbury Dodge, where their diagnostic report specifically stated: “Fuel Injector Replacement: Injector #5 is bad.”
Danbury Dodge charged me $855.55, and I paid because I believed the diagnosed problem had been repaired. However, after leaving the dealership and driving to my vacation destination approximately 400 miles from home, the vehicle continued experiencing the exact same sputtering and performance problem.
While I was away, I called Danbury Dodge several times and spoke with Kyle. He told me he would contact and work with the Dodge dealership near my vacation location. Despite several follow-up calls, he never did. Instead, I was told the vehicle should be fine to drive approximately 400 miles back home so Danbury Dodge could look at it again. I did not consider that a reasonable or responsible solution for a vehicle that was still sputtering after an $855.55 repair.
Kindle Auto Plaza agreed to help me even though they were extremely busy during the vacation season. I dropped the vehicle off on July 9, and on July 13 they independently diagnosed the same problem: the cylinder No. 5 fuel injector still required replacement.
Kindle Auto Plaza replaced the injector, and the vehicle was finally repaired. Both dealerships diagnosed the same defective No. 5 fuel injector, yet Danbury Dodge charged me $855.55 without correcting the problem.
Whether the original repair was performed incorrectly or simply failed, the result is the same: I paid Danbury Dodge for a specific repair, drove 400 miles from home, and discovered that the exact same problem remained. When I contacted them for assistance, the promised coordination with the other dealership never happened.
Based on the failed repair, the lack of follow-through, and the suggestion that I drive a malfunctioning vehicle 400 miles back to them, I cannot recommend Danbury Dodge.

Surprisingly, the Danbury Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Fiat claimes that “the intake” has a crack, and that the injector will fail again; however, the ethical and moral Chrysler dealer found no such crack or issue during its thorough inspection.
